The bodhisattva sits in meditation, legs in padmasana and hands in dhyana mudra in the lap, fingers touching forming the triratna, which symbolizes the Three Jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Dharma (teachings of the Buddha) and the Sangha (congregation of monks). He wears the traditional three part robes and a five-lobed crown with crosshatch decoration. He is seated on a two-tier red lacquered footed pedestal base with a gold gilt medallion on upper tier and lined gilt on lower tier. The bung in the back is closed containing the original contents which were placed there during an eye opening ceremony.
